The Sunday Blues

0

This is a poem that my friend Stacey wrote for our monthly creative night.   The theme was Sunday.

I guess we can all associate with those Sunday night blues.   The night before we are pulled back into the world of work.  The chances are we’ve all felt that anxious, deflated dread that can descend at some time in our lives, when we know that the pressures of responsibilities that work can bring lie ahead of us.   Often the dread and worry is far worse than the actual reality than the first work day of the week brings.

Even if most days you actually enjoy your work/ business,  I’m sure you can relate to those “Sunday blues”  feelings.  That knowing that your time is no longer your own.

I’ve got Ofsted in school this Monday/Tuesday, so I guess my Sunday evening blues will be far worse than the usual!!  Below is a picture I drew a couple of years ago.  The girl in the red is me trudging through the snow.  If you look closely you will notice that there are two set of foot prints.
